European Border Breaker Awards

The European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA) 2010 were presented in a spectacular television show on the opening night of the euro Noorderslag Sonic Festival in Groningen (Netherlands). Among the winners there is a young Austrian woman named "Soap & Skin," with their debut album "Lovetune For Vacuum". The show will be broadcast throughout Europe in the coming days and weeks.
With these awards, the European Commission in cooperation with
the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) young artists' who have
successfully crossed national borders. At the same time highlight
and promote the rich diversity of the prices of European music. In
the show Milov, Esmee Denters occurred, Kerli, Sliimy, Jenny
Wilson, Giusy Ferreri, Charlie Winston, and Soap & Skin live
on.
The European Border Breakers Awards are awarded musicians, whose
debut albums are sold in the EU - and not necessarily in their home
country - the best. This will Recognizing success in reaching a
wider audience. The award is given for the seventh time. It stands
for international success and supports the European music industry,
which employs about 600 000 people. Among the previous winners
include now established artists such as Carla Bruni, Adele, Katie
Melua, Damien Rice, The Fratellis, Gabriel Rios and Tokio Hotel
