EU supports the mobile ultra-high-speed Internet

From 1 January 2010, the EU will invest 18 million euros in research for the fourth generation of mobile networks. The European Commission has decided to initiate proceedings for the promotion of research in the field of Long Term Evolution (LTE) Advanced technology, "with the mobile Internet is up to hundred times faster than the current 3G network.
For the industry LTD is the first choice for next generation mobile networks - also thanks to the significant funding, the EU has provided since 2004. Already 25 years ago, Europe was the GSM standard, the backbone of modern mobile communications. The joint European research and the strength of the EU single market was to the GSM standard, which is now used by 80% of global mobile networks. LTE is expected to be as successful as the EU-funded research produces is still the most modern technologies for the daily lives of Europeans.
